What it is

The Ritz is SALVE’s men’s shawl-collar tuxedo for black tie, receptions and formal evening celebrations. Its continuous rounded collar sets a smoother line than a peak lapel, supported by a soft shoulder and a clean waist. Jetted pockets, a ventless back and high-rise formal trousers keep the finish disciplined. Let the collar hold the attention.

The pattern is kept on file. A second commission needs no second visit, which is how most clients order after the first one.

Two hundred cloths, six books
Mills in Biella, Huddersfield and Kishangarh. The cutter brings the books to your table so you see the cloth in your own light.

Questions people ask
Do I need to come to a shop?

No. SALVE has no shop. A cutter comes to your home or office in Gurugram, takes eighteen measurements and brings six swatch books.

How long does it take?

Fourteen days from the measuring visit, with one fitting at day eight.

What if it does not fit?

The fitting at day eight is there to catch it. After delivery, alterations are free for twelve months, and if the cut is our mistake we remake it at our cost.

What do I pay upfront?

Fifty per cent at order and the balance on delivery. Nothing is charged to book the visit.

Do you work outside Gurugram?

Not at the moment. The bench is one cutter and nine jackets a month, and the visit is what makes the fit work.
