The best way to wear it

Wear it with
  • Nothing in the opening. The panel is the decoration and it does not need help.
  • With Club formal trousers if the jacket is worn on its own.
  • Polished loafers or a plain dress shoe. Keep the jewellery quiet.
Getting the proportions right
  • The clasps should sit flat. If they pull, the waist is wrong, not the clasps.
  • Tonal is the one you will wear to more things. Contrast is the one people will remember.
  • Keep the trouser rise high enough that the line from collar to hem stays unbroken.

What is an open-front bandhgala?

It keeps the standing collar, then opens below the neck to show a narrow inner panel before closing again lower down. The opening is the design; everything else is deliberately quiet.

Tonal or contrast?

Tonal is the one you will wear to more things. Contrast turns the whole garment into a single vertical line and is the one people will remember. Same cut either way.

How is it different from The Jodhpur?

The Jodhpur is closed at the front with three clasps down a solid line. The Neo opens below the collar to show the panel. Same family, different amount of nerve.

Can a groom wear it?
