Too low and shirt shows under the jacket all night. We set it high enough that it never does.

Before you book
How much does a SALVE tuxedo cost?
The Nocturne and the Vesper are ₹37,500 for the jacket and matching trousers. The Velour in cotton velvet is ₹47,000. The Ivory dinner jacket is ₹37,500 for the jacket alone. The shirt, bow tie and shoes are separate.
Which one should I choose?
For a first tuxedo, the Nocturne or the Vesper in black or midnight blue. The Nocturne is double-breasted and worn closed, with no cummerbund needed. The Vesper is the softer shawl collar. The Velour and the Ivory are the second evening jacket: velvet for winter parties, off-white for warm-weather black tie.
Do you really come to my home?
Yes. Appointments are at your home or office in Gurugram or Delhi, by arrangement. Tell us your area when you book.
How long does it take?
Usually about two weeks from the measuring visit. Tell us your event date when you book and we confirm the timing before you order.
Black or midnight blue?
Both are correct for black tie. Black is the stricter choice. Midnight blue is the older convention and looks richer than black under artificial light and in photographs.
Is velvet correct for black tie?
A velvet dinner jacket with satin lapels is an accepted black-tie alternative, especially for winter evenings, parties and receptions. For the strictest dress codes, choose fine wool.
Is a tuxedo right for my wedding reception?
Yes. The reception is where most Indian weddings go Western formal, and a double-breasted Nocturne is a strong choice for a groom. We can plan it alongside the achkan or bandhgala for your other functions.
What if it does not fit?
The fitting exists to catch it before the tuxedo is finished. If we cut it wrong, we remake it at our cost.
