When is wedding season 2026?
Hindu weddings stop for Chaturmas and start again after Dev Uthani Ekadashi, which falls on 20 November 2026. From then there are two short windows before Kharmas closes the calendar in mid-December, and the season opens again on 15 January 2027. Most panchangs agree on the dates below; a few add or drop a day, so confirm yours with the family pandit.

Between 13 December and 14 January there are no Hindu wedding muhurats. December is still busy: Christmas, New Year, Sikh, Christian and court weddings, and the receptions held after a November wedding.
Why the order-by date is two weeks out
A SALVE garment takes two weeks from the measuring visit, with one fitting at day eight, all year. The dates above count back two weeks from the first date in each window. Book earlier if you can, for three reasons:
- The functions start earlier. The sangeet and mehendi are often two or three days before the pheras, and that is when the first outfit is needed.
- Everyone books the same weeks. Late November and early December are the busiest weeks of the year for tailors, embroiderers and dyers in Delhi.
- You want a spare week. A second fitting or a small change to the sleeve is easy with a week in hand and stressful without one.
What to order, in what order
If you are the groom, order everything at one appointment and let the cutter stagger the work. If you are a guest or family, start with the piece for the biggest function.

If you have left it late: rush delivery
Tell us the date on WhatsApp. Rush delivery takes seven days from the measuring visit, subject to the workroom's capacity. It is the same garment and the same fitting, compressed. A single piece in a cloth we hold in stock is usually possible; a full groom's wardrobe is not. For a guest, one well-cut bandhgala for the evening functions is better than four rushed outfits.
How the appointment works
A cutter comes to your home or office in Gurugram or Delhi with the swatch books. The first visit takes about an hour: measurements, cloth, cut and the dates of every function. The fitting follows about a week later. Book a home appointment or read the groom's wardrobe, function by function.
