Two forward pleats open room through the hip and thigh before the trouser falls into a long, straight leg with a deep turn-up.

The best way to wear it
- Shirt tucked, with loafers, for the office.
- A knit polo, and let the pleats do the rest.
- Under a soft sports coat when the day turns formal.
- Khaki with almost anything. It is the one you will reorder.
- A pleated trouser wants to sit on the waist, not the hip. That is the whole trick.
- Wear it without a belt. The side adjusters are there for a reason.
- The turn-up gives the hem weight, so the leg hangs instead of flapping.

Choose the Cadogan for the fuller, pleated leg worn high on the waist. The Bowery is the flat-front one if you want a narrower line.

Forward pleats add room through the hip and thigh, then release into a straight leg. Worn on the natural waist they lengthen the line. Worn on the hip they do the opposite, which is why we cut them high.
You can, but the trouser is not built for it. The waistband is extended with side adjusters so the line across the front stays clean.
A fluid blended cloth with a smooth surface and a good deal of drape. It holds a pleat, moves easily, and hangs rather than stands.
One soft break at the shoe. The deep turn-up adds weight at the hem, which keeps the leg falling straight.
Khaki. It goes with more than navy does, and it is the one most clients reorder.
